Spraying Broadcasted Switch

SWIFFY

5 year old buck +
I mowed and then sprayed areas of brome grass with round-up in August. In late february I broadcasted my Switchgrass seed, now im wondering if I should spray again? Ive read where many say to spray in late-April at the latest... but we just had snow yesterday. Can I still spray my gly in early may here and be ok or am I better off just leaving things? I cant see much green coming up through the dead thatch.

Thanks,

SWIFFY

If I remember right switch doesn't germinate until 55-60 deg soil temp.

Yep 55 to 60 soil for good germination. If you get on it soon you may smoke some but the majority probably hasn't germinated. That's for gly. If it's straight switch you can hit it with 2,4-D after its a few inches tall or simazine (pre-emerg) anytime. Just skip the crop oil on young grass.
