Rubbing post- cedar post???

I did what j-bird did last season with the sapling wired to a tpost. It worked like a charm! They made a water hole they scraped so much under its extended branch. This yr I plant to add some natural fiber rope to the licking branch. Anytime I hunt I plan to give the rope a squirt of lure.

I was looking more for licking than rubbing so I put up few hemp ropes last year. They were not used. Looks like this year maybe a different story.

I am adding some ropes as tooln has done this year also. Having them is the right location is the key to quick use. But ultimately they will find them.

tooln looks like it will be awhile before you will be planting food plots!

You got that right.

Here are the ones I've been using for years. Love em'! They would be a good doe harvest tool as well. About every deer in the plot comes over and takes a sniff on the post, rubs, or scrapes:

I get very few rubs on 80 acres, but probably have more the 40 scrapes.
