Rotating- Beans/Winter rye/Radishes

Good farming practices? Depends who you talk to about that. I know farmers that have been corn on corn for over 20 years and beans on beans for over 20 years. Disease could be your worst nightmare in the future with no rotation.

The beans should be adding nitrogen to the soil and then the rye and radishes should be pulling it out. I believe soybeans are a heavy potassium(potash) user. as lickcreek always pointed out, Rye can recycle potassium from deeper in the soil profile for future crop use.
Edit: I believe radishes would also help bring nutrients up from the subsoil to be easier used by the soybeans.
