Ripe Goldrush in early October?

Strange days indeed. I’ve picked them November 10th before. I believe I will let them hang awhile.

Those seeds don't look dark enough to be fully ripe.
But taste is the true test of ripeness.

Our Goldrush at camp are ripe about last week of October - at the earliest - but best taste is in November. FWIW.
