I would still include turnips and radishes in the mix. Just cut the rate in half. There are some benefits to planting brassica even if the deer do not use them much.

I’ve emailed a good bit with grant woods. Email him any questions.

He always told me when using green cover mix to add more rye. With shipping they just can sell people 200lbs of seed per acre with shipping. But use 80-100 of green cover mix and add a 50lb bag of cheap local rye.

I think starting with green cover is great. It’s expensive but it’s good seed and a great starting point. See what grows well and then tweak it. If I only planted a couple of acres it’s all I would use. At 20 acres it’s a no go. Ha
