Quadruplets

H20fwler

5 year old buck +
Just put cameras out last month. Have had this doe and fawns on camera for a few weeks day and night.
I don’t think she is leaving the property.

It’s the first time I’ve ever seen four fawns with a doe and they seem so young for this time of year.
Hope she doesn’t get killed this fall, she is a deer factory.

Twins are common here and have seen triplets a few times over the years, but never this.

If those are all hers, it's going to be a feat to keep them all alive. That has to be extremely rare.

That is amazing, looks like you’re doing a good job supporting her. Keep it up!

This wouldn't be a case where their mom perished and she adopted them? If it's indeed quadruplets that's incredible.

I'm not sure, it could be. We put cameras out Sept 6 and I started seeing her with them. I thought maybe she had triplets and maybe adopted one from a doe that got hit by a car or something?
But them all looking exact same age (very young) and still spotted up is weird...most fawns here are 3/4 grown and brown now. Those four look like late July fawns, but maybe has something to do with quadruplets? Again, first time I've ever seen a doe with four.
