What kind of tree is it ben? What are these guys munching on that they are all lined up like that?

The tree is an old wild green apple, about 2" dia, bears annually and moderate to heavy.

The field is just hay, with some clover and alfalfa in it.

The tree is probably 50+ years old. I removed dead wood and cleared around it a little, now it fruits really well.
