Planted beets first time

Trying beets for the first time.
Took a few minutes to goof with planting plates. Thought I had found the right one, but it turned out to drop too many at once.

So I threw some tape on it to close off the feed hole some and got a better spacing.

To make rows and a seed bed I drove a 4 wheeler through the plot. Walked the planter down and back a few times. Then dragged to cover. Hope to keep this updated with good growth this summer.

You know what you need? You need the extra JD 7000 planter in my yard. That's what you need. 😂

Lol, my wife might beg to differ!

Good luck, I hope to see a big field of them for you. RR beets were a bust for me. To many resistant weeds around my way. I had one heck of a pigweed plot though.

Maybe it’ll rain this year.

A rain or 2 would be nice. Already way behind schedule for the yr.

Thanks! I have no idea if they'll work or not. I'm going to give it a solid try!

There's a few boards bolted to the bottom. It can be flipped over and drags a little different.
