Apple thinks that’s what this is? A few questions.
1. Is that what it is?
2. Is it beneficial?
3. If not, best way to kill it? Seems to have survived a lot at this point.

The plan is to plant buckwheat on June 1st or so with brassicas following.

2-4d if glyphosate doesn’t work. But it has some residual so plan accordingly

Thats Penny Cress I believe. Prolific reseeder. I cant speak for the value of it in terms of wildlife usage for food.

We had that DEEP freeze and this stuff came out green! Wild stuff. Gonna get the treatment I think. Warm week coming up so I think it’s time.

Its a Winter Annual, germinates in the Fall then over winters and is done by early June I believe.

There are about 4 different plants that are very similar to that one in the rosette stage. None are very valuable to deer. Pennycress is as good a guess as any. I would nuke it and then proceed with your planting.

PS - I have seen pepperweed browsed some, but I don’t think that is pepperweed.
