Pear Pollination.....Asian vs Others

I have several varieties if pears including some asians......just happened to consider that I may need to make sure I have multiple if each kind in the same area to pollinate.

Do european and asians cross polinate each other or do I need to be careful with planting?

I do think some Asian pears need cross pollination from other Asian pears, but must not be all. I had an Olympic produce some pears and I have no other Asian varieties.

I have a couple Olympic and also a couple niitaka.....but not next to each other. About 150 yards apart.

Likely gonna plant another just in case

I think pears will pollinate pears if the bloom is at the same time.

Suggests that early blooming European pears can pollinate Asian pears.
