I didn't see this earlier Native, but I would say you are spot on given the region you are in and the shape of those leaves. At first glance it looked like it could have been a white species hybrid, but those leaves are distinctively post oak imo.

That's one of the original oaks that was planted about 12 years ago. I only asked for white oak, but what they gave me was lots of different oaks in the white oak family. There was also a bunch of chinkapin oak, which I could easily identify, and I added Bur and Swamp White later on. I'm kind of glad now that they mixed in some different ones. Between reds and whites I have now identified 9 different species. The only thing that has outgrown the oaks is yellow poplar. I've been thinning some of those out the last two years where they are near a nice oak.
No, any future trees for me will be fruit or conifers. I have lots of young oaks planted now and have several mature native oaks. When everything leafs out I will get a pic of where oaks are mixed with white pine. I like the looks of that area.
