Northern Wisconsin Fishing Resort

Anybody recommend a fishing resort in Northern Wisconsin? Going to plan a trip for May before the baby gets here, just not sure where to go. Thinking maybe Hayward area. Walleye and bass fishing would be ideal. Looking to stay withing 2 hours of Eau Claire.
