New Hardy Fruits for the Northwest... 1940... N. E. Hansen

Bur - Do you have a Kola crab there ?? SLN had it in their catalog in 2014. I see in the bulletin you posted the link to that Kola and it's relatives are heavy annual bearers, and extremely hardy.
 
I love the read but what are the chances of getting ahold of some of those pears or plums?

I cant speak to those listed in 1940. They continued the research after those years and I grow a variety of fruit that originated at a later date from the SD research station.
 
I need to check, but don't think my Kola graft from last year took. I added some to a flowering crabs, just to preserve the scion and it looks like the flowering crab died.
 
Sorry to hear the Kola didn't make it. I don't have it here, or I'd send you a scion or two. I thought about buying a Kola back in 2014, but never pulled the trigger.
