I have 3 3-4ft trees that need to in the ground this weekend. (bareroot) Received them on Friday after Thanksgiving. Largest I have ever received by mail. Right now they have been in the ground temporary since Monday. Anyway, In the past when I did do fruit trees (apple, peaches etc.....) I purchased about the same size from our local county fruit tree sale which was put on by the master garden people and they were pruned from the top. They seemed to grow well after planted. Should I do the same to the chestnut? You can tell by looking at the roots they were not grown in root makers. Thanks
