Cliff notes version-
Shot a buck *allegedly* 7 miles from its home range. Got famous, did podcasts, etc. A few holes in his story turned into a DNR investigation. He was arrested and sentenced, buck went to Ohio wall of shame.
I mistakenly said Indiana earlier, pretty sure it was Ohio.
His name is CJ Alexander if you want to look up the story. He also was on several podcasts lying about the harvest.

Numbers 2 and 6 have huge eye appeal to me! Sometimes I see a buck and think it's smaller than it is, or bigger than it is.

I am really surprised by the Larry Gibson buck. I knew almost nothing about it prior to this post. I found a North American Whitetails article about it. The guy sold the rack for $200 (!). Apparently if it didn't have that acorn tip injury on the right G2, it might have passed the Jordan buck.
Hopefully someday through education, policy changes, and a few miracles along the way we can see more of these records broken. If you had asked someone that hunted Indiana 10 years ago to bet the #2 all time buck would be taken in their state, I am sure no one would take that bet.

I wish the guy who made that list would do another for the largest gross scoring typicals. You'd see a few bigger monsters, led by the Damery from IL at over 230" typical gross.

Yep he's awesome. That chipped brow tine kept him from netting over the Jordan buck i believe.If someone said to build my perfect buck it would take no time at all. Wayne Bills.
