In another thread, I mentioned the issues my neighbor had with his particular tractor. I also mentioned he was an “anything but green” guy, so I was a little surprised when I saw a John Deere 5 series on his property. He traded the Workmaster for a 50hp John Deere 5000E series. It is a very low hour (58) MFWD/FEL tractor that is 5 years old…sadly, he paid the auction house/used tractor dealer more for it than a new one, but he is not really a tractor/habitat guy, as his focus is on horses and rodeo (they just finished a four month long project building a rodeo arena).
The family has turned the place into a nice horse farm. From what he said, he uses his tractor for moving bales, gravel drive and roping arena maintenance brush cutting and barn cleaning. His particular NH Workmaster was plagued by electrical issues. I believe it was a 2016 (current model) Workmaster 60. Since that was an earlier production model, the electrical issues are likely ironed out by now.
