My Lodi tree dropped this week.

WTNUT

5 year old buck +
I have one Lodi tree that drops so early every year that I never get any Apple from it.
I was expecting to get some apples this week, but dang went up yesterday and they are gone. But, wow there is a ton of deep crap around that tree. It looks like they stood there like cattle waiting for them to fall.

I know of a pear tree in a small town that is the same way in terms of deer crap anyhow.

I've heard that is really one of the best early apples.

One client has a small commercial nursery and he often picks Lodi just a bit before it ripens. He says oen day can make a tremendous difference if you are not right there.

He is a smart client. It is amazing how fast my tree drops. The entire tree will drop in two days.

Although this is the earliest it has dropped. It normally drops about July 8-10.

Maybe they've created a sophisticated shaking program?
