My First Tractor

2ndHand

5 year old buck +
After surviving open heart surgery this spring thought it would be a good idea to get a tractor to reduce the bull work and have some fun at the same time. Bought a Kubota MX4800 with mower, grapple, and pallet fork.

First off, congrats on a full recovery and secondly congrats on the new toy! Those grapples are awesome tools.

Thank you!!

Planning on adding a mesh screen to the brush guard to protect the grill. Here’s an image of the planned modification:

I love the grill and I see a winch. The winch would be a great idea if you use it in low wet areas.

Wow very nice toy ! Hope to see some video and pictures of you using that rig !

Congrats on your new tractor and to a successful recovery from open heart surgery. You picked the right brand.
I have owned a Kubota L345DT 4x4 with FEL for the last 27 years. Those orange tractors will run forever. Just change the oil and all filters at the recommended intervals. I also like that you went with a Land Pride mower. One of the best manufacturers of accessories in my book.

I am green... no, make that orange, with envy! That looks like a well thought out machine. Have fun, gitt 'er done!

Is that chain basket a factory option?
The chain basket is made by adding the wire mesh to lower portion on brush guard frame. It would nice if was a purchase option!

Thanks for the reply - I appreciate the info!! Looking forward to years of operating it. Someday I hope to get a 3 pt. air blast sprayer for my orchard.

I love that idea. I have a brand new L2501, same exact unit, just smaller engine and next stop to grab me some expanded metal. Already have the Kubota matching paint and MIG welder. :emoji_thumbsup:
Photo day it was delivered. First add was the 3 3/8" chain bucket hooks. These hooks are made to weld on. I bought factroy Kubota orange paint. Caution, there is a different shade on earlier models, so not all Kubota orange is the same color. Welded large D rings down each side of the new trailer I hads to buy to haul this tractor (7X18)
