Went today.

The three smallest ones passed away from their smoking - only the five big ones remain. :cool:

I haven't downloaded the pic from my phone yet but will do so later on tonight - stay tuned!

Day 7 - Need some more rain bad. Things are drying out and as you can see the three smallest threw in the towel. Smoking not only stunted them - it killed them! Rain is forecast tonight/tomorrow so they should take off again!

Is there a difference between the morels that look grayish and the ones that look yellowish or dark brown ?? Are they all edible ??

Grays and yellows. In our area, grays come first, yellows second. Grays are smaller than yellows. Both delicious!

Well I couldn't stand it anymore. The rain continues to dance all around us but not a drop for us. My appetite for some fresh morels made me pick my first 125 of the year this morning. I selectively picked the larger ones and any small ones that were already starting to dry out. Lots of small ones left behind but they need a drink real bad. Rain in the forecast AGAIN for tonight/tomorrow so I have my fingers crossed!

Morels - it's whats for dinner! :D
