To your point about public lands I agree with the idea of limiting non residents on STATE owned ground but not federal ground. That is every citizens ground.

True. That’s always a tough one for me. On one hand it’s the states wildlife but it’s our land. If the state can manage the wildlife on federal land why can’t they manage the oil and timber. Don’t get me wrong I don’t want them to pull what Utah wants to do and essentially take over federal land but I’m not knowledgeable on why there are differences

They can fix this really easy …

1 buck limit for NR, with $25 doe tags
Move gun season back week or two .
Max NR out at 20k or some arbitrary number. NRLO stays same, but they phase in (1 buck)

Baby steps, if the hunting gets great , they can demand more $$ for tags ?

Being a good steward of natural resources on land you own should give you some type of preferred access to those resources you're protecting /managing.

Didn’t read everything. But are you kidding me? I’ve been a NR landowner in MO for 20 years. We haven’t had a game warden in my county in 3 years and the last one wouldn’t do anything that might put him in danger. (Not that I blame Him).

The rules on my farm put in place by me far exceed anything MDC would ever do.

A realtor in that area (pretty good connections) told me in a text .. I guarantee you they won’t prevent a landowner from getting a tag every yr.

He said zero chance, & no possible way in a series of texts… who’s he’s talking with I don’t know ?

I hope he’s accurate.
