Minnesota and mosquitoes?

Been here in Minnesota all of may. Not many mosquitoes yet. I wonder why?

Up by me the swamps are low, there are no puddles, and it’s been freezing late into May. I was in the woods at sun up yesterday and never swatted or saw one.

I can’t remember as few as this year .

They are plentiful in Central WI in the evening but I think the cool nights so far have been keeping them down otherwise.

Just had bug commander spray at my house this morning. Just in time here. Hasn't been too bad except in the evening. Had the bug zapper out for about 4 days. Gives me great satisfaction hearing all the electrocution zapping those bastards.

Mornings and daytime hardly any, but the evenings they come out in NW Wisconsin.

Not many mosquitoes in my area of Minnesota. However, we have lake flies and last night the sunfish, crappies and bass were picking em off on the calm surface . Insane

I am was fishing off my dock, I bet I caught 40 bass and a few panfish .

A bug zapper will short out in 15 minutes on my back porch. We keep a bug zapper just inside the back door in an attempt to get the new bugs when they come in the back door.

Getting my yard sprayed for bugs works great. Wish I would have started doing it years ago. I've been using bug spray daily all summer long and still have to use it if I go past the invisible wall that's created when they spray the yard perimeter. As soon as you walk past the edge of where it was sprayed the mosquitos are on you. Would like to see that show naked and afraid try to survive in my woods during the summer here in minnesota.

Went on the st croix this morning. I didn’t spray up with deet due to no mosquitoes. Got a deer tick bite!
Asaargh!
