Looking for Bebbs Oak Acorns

Teeder

5 year old buck +
Looking for a dozen or 2.

I'll have English, sawtooth and a couple English x White crosses for trade.

Thanks!

Thanks. This is for a special little project of mine.

I ordered a handful from here. They also have a white x chinkapin cross that looks interesting. Snagged a couple of those and a few Nuttall while I was at it. 🤪

This is a Bebbs that I started from an acorn in February 2023. It would have been transferred from the pot to the ground about may-June of '23. Pretty great growth and a beautiful tree! Acorns from OakSeeds.

I would like to do some hybrid plantings but have just enough sporadic bear activity to be hesitant. The high vigor with early acorn production tends to result in a small tree that bears can tear limb from limb.... literally. I'm glad that after a bumper crop on a bunch of young trees over 5 yrs ago has not been repeated so more growth and recovery could happen.

Just something to think about for those that have bears in their neighborhood.

To the OP, best of luck and those look great!

I saw some Bebbs oaks at the MN landscape arboretum today. One had a nice crop of acorns coming.

Wow!
Is that a five foot tube?

Did you weed mat the trees?
Thanks

Many people don’t believe just how much growth a bur oak will produce even out of a tube I’ve had 24” or more in a single season from acorns I’ve planted.
