Littering should be a capital offense!

Got so sick of all the litter around my camp, I bribed the wife and kids with DQ to help police call 3 miles of roads surrounding my property.

Surprisingly enough, no bitching or moaning from anyone.

And the consensus is - if you drink Bush Latte or Twisted Tea, there is a greater than average chance that you are a dirtbag

I walk our road ditches a couple times a year and pick up garbage. I agree with your thoughts on Busch Light. However, this year Miller High Life is a close second here. In bottles even! I’ve collected almost a case of miller bottles this year. I’m guessing it’s the same guy over and over chucking his empties on his way home.

Kooch, that seems accurate. We also found a lot of chocolate milk bottles. My kids are certain that dirtbag dad throws out the Busch, mom throws out the twisted tea and their little dirtbag kid follows suit and throws out his yahoo milk container.

I mow along the road and pick up a lot of Busch Light, Mountain Dew and small fireball bottles.

Great job picking that up. That is A LOT of litter.

We have 200 yards of highway road frontage on the one property. We pick up a white kitchen trash bag full of trash at least once a week. A good number of people are Fn' pathetic!

A while back I fished several dozen beer cans out of the bushes in front of the family's place, from two locations. Must be from the same A-hole every day as part of his daily routine. Finishes his beer about the same spot along the route every day and heaves the evidence out the window. Instead of taking them though, I just made two big piles of them roadside so he could see them when he went past. Eventually someone must have taken them all for the deposit.

I’m seeing many junk tv’s in the ditches lately and it’s really pissing me off!

I pull them up onto the edge of the road where everyone can see them and write SHAME on the screen with a white paint marker.

Not saying it's okay, but I can sort of understand why someone would do some places. Like where my property is you can only can go to this dump if you're from this town and they don't take this or that or this. And it's on the other side of the county and only open 9AM-12noon on Tuesday. Not okay, but I get it.

But at home, people dump stuff on the road side all the time. Big stuff. There's trash pick, everywhere, every house. Put it out front of your house and they will take it. Put it out front of ANYONE'S house and they will take it. Why drive it out in the middle of nowhere and dump it roadside? It makes no sense! It's MORE work!?

We are lucky, have a county landfill and they will take anything there and its never been more than $25 for me to take a pickup load of hatever.

We have republic for garbage and they can be a pita but they take damn near anything I put out. It makes a difference, there is always going to be dumping and losers throwing beer cans but its a lot less if they make it easy to get rid of stuff.

We had a guy that was slinging his cans on our place or a couple of our neighbors literally every day. One of the neighbors saw him toss his can one day, then saw him again a couple days later around the same time and found out who it was. Turns out he lived about 5 miles down the road. We cleaned up all of the cans and returned them to his front yard on a Saturday afternoon while he was there. He didn't say a word. That took care of that one guy, but we still have the occasional issue.
