Last Youth Hunt

My youngest son Jake is 17 so this was his last year for youth season. Super hot afternoons, but mornings were decent. Saw a few does and 2 small bucks. Had one encounter with a shooter. Doe came in and spooked on blind. I bleated and she calmed down for about 30 seconds. Unfortunately for Jake, by the time we switched places in the blind, she took off with the buck in tow. All in all a great hunt. We just love being outdoors. Pic of hunter and trail cam of buck.

The youth hunting years flew by didn't they? Sure did for me and my son. Now we are on to thanksgiving at the farm. I'm liking that to. Especially if I want to sleep in, he can do it by himself now..

Good to see/hear about you and Jake being out..... I know it was far from ideal here that weekend, but it sure beat sitting on the couch! Hopefully Jake will connect later in the season.....hopefully you both will!
