This is the #5 crab. It's a wild crab growing along the edge of the Home Orchard. Although it seems to be a biennial bearer when it does bear it's a huge crop and the deer make a path straight to it.

A Linda Sweet crab from GRIN. A limb graft made in 2015 on a small wlld apple tree, it's bearing 3 apples this year and I'm hoping I'll be able to try one this fall.

I have (2) # 5's I grafted last spring. One of them was the largest tree in my nursery and most vigorous last season.
