Juneberry Cuttings @ Flowering?

I'm in the spirit to keep going. There are pockets of juneberry around the countryside near me, but almost zero on my place. I can only find them in the spring when they're flowering. If I'm not pre-occupied I'll usually flag them, but I don't flag the ones that are not on my property. Any chance I can steal cuttings when they're in bloom and get them to take in a pot with potting soil and hormone?

Quick google search suggested low success rate, but cuttings taken with 4-6 inches of new growth seem to be best candidates.
