Like the snake. Yuck to the tick!

I'm never moving south, gtfoh with that. I've been in the woods with a chainsaw a bunch the last few weeks, ticks were the farthest thing from my mind.
 
Why you gotta go and ruin my entire spring like that? I thought you were one of the good ones…

Spring…it’s still technically winter!
 
The little brown snakes are cool, I see them here quite a bit around mulched trees and woodpiles.
Very gentle shy little snakes, they eat snails and slugs.
 
Not worried about ticks for a while, we're getting 6 inches of snow today.

Same. Between the ticks and the hogs and the invasive species...hard pass.
 
I have found them when we call them snow ticks because the snow was still in shade.But then again I had one on my arm in New York City behind the chapel at ground zero.
