Is it to late to plant sorghum Sudan for a screen in minnesota?

I agree it would start to throw a seed head out when the daylight hours become shorter. Self preservation thing. But it would be short and spindly. As a last resort maybe 60 day sweet corn but the screen would have to be wider and you would need to get on it soon. Won't be as tall as sorghum planted early but I don't know how high you need it to be.
 
I've read about sunn hemp. I wonder if that would work
