Insect damage?

New guy here, coming from the QDMA forum with lots to learn.

I'm assuming this is insect damage on my Honeycrisp trees? What do I do?20160720_113719.jpg 20160720_113714.jpg

Yep - ^^^^^ I use Sevin or Bonide Fruit Tree spray. I've read some guys use Malathion too.

I've got sevin for use on the potato beetles in my garden, so I'll get right on it. Thanks!

Careful if you spray in this heat. I did some damage because I had no choice but to spray on a 90 degree day. I did use some sevin powder in the heat to take care of some japs and it did not hurt the leaves.

I have the powder stuff.

I used Imidian and it seems to work beautifully, I do add some sevin to my mix. I even used it on my potato plants because the tator bugs were bad this year.

I have the same problem on one of my trees (Could actually see a few beetles on them). Was curious if age had much to do with what I could spray on it - looks like your tree is similar in diameter to mine.

I spray my new 1st year grafts the same thing I do with my older trees, I do not believe it makes a difference on 'age'. Its all about temperatures outsides and wind drift.
