I think the most profound words I’ve been given came from an older black woman.

She was taking a Spanish class at the local college at night. I was also but I was about 19 and she was about 65. I liked her, she had stories.

One night on a break, age came up. Her words....

“life is like a roll of toilet paper, the closer you get to the end, the faster it runs out.”

God rest her, she was spot on!
