Huntsworth clothing

TonySoprano

5 year old buck +
Does anyone here use Huntsworth cold weather gear ?. I must have been eating a little too much Gabagool or my old wool hunting coat shrunk . No emergency though, my old coveralls still fit , I was comfortable wearing them in my blind , with a base layer , flece lined pants and a heavy flanel this morning in 20 degree weather. With that said I was like the Pillsbury dough boy. They have a back Friday sale going on now...BUT I wont buy anything until next year. I see a lot of posivive reviews , just wondering if anyone here has first hand knowledge using the Matterhorn or Fairbanks jacket. They claim warmth without the bulk. The Matterhorn has "heat boost" but I think the Fairbanks will work for me because according to google we only get about 0.3 days each year when nighttime low temperatures fall below 0°F.

Has never heard of them before your link. Good looking stuff and nice discounts right now. Be interested in trying

Never worn their stuff, have only heard of them because they sponsor Steve Bartylla's show.

I have used some of the Huntsworth cold weather gear. Rural King currently has a good sale on Huntsworth, and that is where I bought my gloves when I was in a pinch. My experience has been more than positive in the past couple of years of use. Friends have the full Huntsworth system and it seems to be good quality.

The Matterhorn beat the big names and others in this test. I was surprised! It seems like the test method would translate to the real world too.

I don't love the camo options but I don't think you can beat the value.

I'm old , but Personally I like the old Trebark , Mossy Oak Bottomland or original Realtree patterns the best.

I still pick up some Trebark from time to time on Ebay , but the fact of the matter is you're still dealing with 1980's to 90's technologhy when it comes to warmth. With one month left to hunting season for me...I'm not going to buy anything. BUT next year if they have a good 4th of July sale or I might have to wait for Black Friday again , and then I might pick up the Matterhorn or fairbanks Jacket & bibs.

Just noticed , Walmart carries some Huntworth products

While this model doesn't have "heat boost" I figured for eight bucks plus shipping for a total of $15.41 I'd try this Huntsworth Balaclava.
You can also find them on Ebay for around a dollar more in Bottomland camo. Weird thing , Walmart has some other Delta Heavyweight Balaclava's in different camo for $22.99
