It is indeed, that was a selling feature of this model. My wife is not a nature person but with the ability to divert power to a generator for A/C and a screened in porch to avoid the bugs, I can keep her happy while the kids run the woods in the summer. Is that a screened porch with a loft over it that I see?
Same question and what are the dimensions of this?Who’s the manufacturer of the cabin?
That is some serious equipment there. How many watts is your array, and how much battery bank you install? That looks like a hell of a setup.I'm officially on off grid power. No fire and nothing blew up. In bright sun running power tools battery never budged from 100%.
The solar array is 800W and 24V. The battery bank is four 100Ah gel batteries wired in series/parallel for 24V for 200Ah capacity. Given the inverter is 4000W I can definitely run a coffee pot and microwave no issues. On a sunny hot day I can probably run a small 5000 or 8000BTU A/C. I was doing a good amount of cutting with a circular saw and the battery meter never left 100%.That is some serious equipment there. Sorry I missed this - 12X30Same question and what are the dimensions of this?
looks nice!
Who’s the manufacturer of the cabin?
Yes, it all goes through the inverter, I have no 12V (system is 24). I researched it and decided on the scale I wanted to do things, 12V was inadequate. Breakers between solar controller and batteries and also between controller and panels. Big massive cables the short distance from the batteries into the breaker bot to connect to the inverter. Single wire then from the inverter to typical AC breaker box and wiring. Cabin came pre-wired for AC so this made the most sense.Very cool. I don't see many solar guys, so when I do, I'm curious how they set theirs up. Do you invert all your stuff to 110V right at the battery bank then? I run mine 12 volt all the way, and invert with small inverters where needed, like my Tv and antenna booster.
