Hunting blind that won't break?

Hey HT,

Can anyone recommend a hunting blind that is bomb proof? Last year I setup a blind a month before the season, only to find on opening day a destroyed blind. The following options I am thinking about is a DIY steel rebar blind(simple/affordable), ghost blind (mobility), or typical pop up hunting blind(comfortable/scent advantages). This will be used for archery.

Thanks,
Brad

If you use a pop-up blind, make sure it is staked and tied down properly. I use good stake tents and either tie to a tree if available. If a tree is not available I use disposable stakes that you can buy at a trapping supply house. Another thing that will help your blind from collapsing in a snow storm is to get an adjustable shower curtain rod to support the center of blind when you are not using blind. A 2 x 4 cut to length will work also.

I'm a fan of natural blinds. Grab some logs and brush and build it on site. Take some camo mesh with you when you hunt to drape inside the blind and you will be very well hidden. It doesn't take muck work to make enough of them to cover every wind possibility and situation that you need. Cost is good too.
