Have a plot in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan that has been in Cereal Grains (Oats, Wheat) past two falls. When I can get time off work dictates when and thus what I can plant. Would like to get plot back into a white clover mix so plan is to plant the white clover last week in August with an Oats and Wheat cover crop that also gives me something green to hunt over next fall. Will that give the White clover sufficient time to establish roots before the onset of cold weather next fall that far north?
