How did your area deer make it thru the winter?

Found two dead ones today a fawn and an old shedded out buck.

I didn't have my handy tooth aging key, but I'm thinking 5.5 year old

No doubt it was a buck. I could see the holes in his hide at the antler bases

This was buck #5 I found. The others were two yearlings a 2.5 and a 3.5. Shame bruiser like this boy died in such a way

Did a lot of walking the last 2 weeks. Happy to report only 1 fawn carcass and I think that was dead before the snows came.
