Glad it’s working for you. Just so you know, though, you are using more chemical. Your flow rate is a function of pressure drop. With the new pump putting out a higher discharge pressure, you’ve increased the pressure drop across the hose/gun/nozzle. Do you have a pressure gauge on the discharge? If we have the pump curve and the discharge pressure, we can determine the flow rate.Ok, so I got the Remco 120psi pump with the same 2.2gpm flow of my existing 60psi pump. (We don't need to blast a lot more chemical per minute, we needed the same amount cast a further distance.)
By itself, that got me only about 10' more distance to about 30', so I swapped the nozzle on the Valley sprayer to the next higher GPM flow nozzle. That did the trick, taking the spray distance up to right around 45'.
I changed the hose from the 15' one it came with, to a 50' hose and now I can get back into the thick areas a lot more easily without having to stick to spots where I can drive the SxS right to next to the brush/trees. Now, I can effectively hit trees 95' away from the SxS.
I will still need to add a regulator on the line for the boom, as the only nozzles for this particular setup that Teejet seems to make are limited to 60psi. This will be a cheap and easy addition.
What gun and nozzle are you using? 95’ is a poke!
Also for your boom… depending on the number of nozzles, and their rated flow rate, your pump is not going to actually make its full 120psi discharge pressure. I bet your nozzle are fine. Depending on the number you might find you’re actually below the pressure recommended for them.
