Help with this apple

New member here and I have an unknown variety of Apple at my house that is showing some sign of disease and was hoping I could get your help. In last week all the leaves started looking like those pictured.

I am not sure what kind of Apple it is but it was planted by old homeowner at my house. Last year it had a number of red tart apples that matured at the end of August with many rotting on the tree before falling. I did not spray with anything this year as I am new to the whole fruit tree game. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Apple scab. The fruit will become infected as well if you dont spray a fungicide, likely the reason they rotted on the tree last year. If you begin spraying now you can keep it from spreading further this season.

Thanks any suggestions on sprays?? again totally new to this and here to learn. Looking forward to all the insight.
