I wish the local conservancy would would work on bird habitat. They keep buying up land, but they hardly do any improvements. It's loaded with raccoons and squirrels, with enty of deer and coyotes, but almost zero game birds.

I see the odd turkey every few years, but I think the coyotes get them. They seem to just disappear. If I could afford it, I would buy a gojillion quail and release them in the huge grass fields and plant lots of shrubs. Maybe some day.

I would love to have quail here, but I assume we just get too much snow.
