GRIN project

Well, I got 24 ninebark planted. I caged 2 of them, and will remove the cage from one of them after this year. Planting procedure included incorporating composted/composting leaves, adding small handfull of pellet lime, and putting lumite over them. Size varied, as you'll see, from 3 inches to 18 inches. These were all planted in mid-late August. For the first 2 weeks ifwe recieved 7 days in a row of 0 rain, I watered them. All were labeled with group number (1-8) and treatmeant (A,B,C). A=cage for more than 1 year, B=1 year cage, C= no cage. Height at time of planting was taken, and I'll record the height of each in the following falls. As of now, all are alive. They are all on my E half of my hedgerow, as seen in my non-deer habitat thread.

Smaller specimen. I think one or two are smaller.

Just a good picture of how these were used to create a screen/hedgerow.
