Funny Thought (Scion Wood)

Has anyone had a random thought when they see trees for sale about getting a stick off of one of those trees? LOL!

I know, I know, thats bad but its crossed my mind, I didn't say I'd do it but its still funny to think about. When they prosecute you would they judge say, how many trees did he steal? None Judge, just a twig, 'A twig?', case closed moron. LOL!

It crossed my mind to surreptitiously take a cutting from an Arboretum that has a policy against sharing. But that would be wrong.

Last spring I purchased some grafted trees and tried some additional grafting from them. I pruned before planting and used those cutting to make some field grafts. I wasn't planning to do it but decided to try. I got one to take.

I have not been able find scionwood for Puget Spice crab and decided to order a tree from Cummins for this spring. I will make a graft or 2 from that tree if I can.

Surely its morally wrong but the thought is still funny. :)
