I hauled 10 loads of compost the past 2 day to make it like this.

Most of the holes the stumps came out of are now filled. Now I'm looking for the bengay.
Planning to plant buckwheat later in the week, then late Aug. early Sept. disk it in and rye/clover/rape goes in.
 
That still has to be quite the quagmire. There is one advantage to hot, dry summers.

It's only bad when it has a hole to hold water. I've had hot but can't say it's been dry.
