First Dove Hunt

I enjoyed my first dove hunt using a nice O/U my wife bought for me a couple of years ago. My friend, who is the landowner, said the action was slow, but the shotgun felt good and I brought how 6 birds, which will be dinner tomorrow night.

Can’t hunt doves in NJ because they are song birds. But as kids we didn’t care. That’s some good eating. And we have doves….

Congrats! Are you addicted now?

Don't overcook them. Leave them more rare than you think you should. There's a very fine line between raw... and way over cooked.
