Fertalizing apple/pear

I did it once when the rains came late may early June just after they woke up.

Does anyone fertilze more than 1x? Say in July or August before a good rain to help with fruit/new growth production before they start to go dormant?

Don't fertilize anymore this year, Most of this year's growth is about done for the year. Fert as things start leafing out in spring and if really needed a second time no later than early June. They need time to slow up and harden off for the fall/ season.
