Elevator Brackets

If any of you guys use the "Elevator" 4" x 4" post brackets for building your box stand platforms, I just picked up two sets at Menards tonight for $69.98 per set. They are close to $90 in a lot of places.

Home Depot has them on sale for $68 for 4 4x4 brackets until 12/12/2015.

Both are good prices. I paid $90 a few years ago. Which stinks because there's like $20 worth of steel in them.

But I guess you have to pay for the idea.

I used them for a few stands and they work great. Trick is getting the stand up without damaging the boards that attach to the brackets. When I was raising my stand I snapped one of the 2x6's in half. I was alone and am sure its easier with some help lol Cross bracing is a must also to prevent sway
