Anyone ever had an issue with Chestnuts growing too fast?? Out of 144 nuts I have 119 that germinated and probably 50 are over 12 inches tall already while the others range down to just an inch or so. I even have a few probably 16 inches. At this rate my lights are going to be vertical on the tall side before long!! I am using 8 foot shop lights on chains and I keep moving the tall side up every day. They started germinating around Feb 3rd or so... do I need to turn heat down or lower humidity? The ones closest to the heater are shorter, maybe from drying out quickly? I am watering as needed but seems like every 4th day I water.

A good problem to have, you will have a heck of a good start come spring. I've got a bunch of Chinese planted but they haven't grown like that (yet)...I did get the staggered sprouting, my first one broke ground last Sunday and they are still popping today. I've got them from 3" tall to not even sprouted through yet.
