Deer browsing corn

5 year old buck +
I have several areas where my broadcasted corn has been browsed. Will these recover or are they kind of like a terminal bud on a white pine? Also, if some of the corn has purple, am I deficient on Nitrogen? I tried to attach a pic, but now it says my files are too large?? What can I do about this?

Some varieties of corn showed more purple leaves than others this year. Warm days very cool nights had some to do with it. I have 12 corns in a test plot this year and 8 out of 12 were purple for a month, while 6 rows over the corn was nice and green. I thought it was herbicide processing by some plants that caused some of it as well. All is green now and growing good!

I'm not a corn expert, but does this match your scenario? http://msucares.com/crops/corn/corn_stunted.html

Also, either resize your pic below 1MB on your pc, or do a screen shot of the pic with your phone while you're viewing it. That'll resize it small enough to post from your phone.

I've had corn browsed and a lot of time I ended up with a stubby stalk and a big ear of corn hanging from it (if I remember right) Hope it works out for you.

Your Corn Plant look like this? Lots of Pioneer and NuTech seed varieties started out like this, this year in our area. All are 5-6' tall and green now.

image.jpg here is the browsing. Only about shin high right now. Took a long time to pop this year. I bought 80 day corn so I hope I'm still okay here up by Mille lacs.
