I find you fun to watch Chummer ... you keep playing both sides of the fence ... how about ... don't wear a mask if you don't want to?
If a mask is not political ... why bring political assessment into it?

I was responding to a post that said they had become political. I am playing my side of the fence because of coarse I feel I know best. The summary of my plan. Hide at risk people in the attic or basement, everyone else is responsible for themselves. Send kids back to school. Close bars where the 20 somethings are packed in grinding on each other. Leave business alone. Stop the riots. Stop paying people more to stay home than when they were working. Where a mask(inside only), and above all else re-elect Trump.

I say close or change bar operations because I want Trump to win. If you want Biden as president don’t do anything. All bars don’t fit into the same category. Common sense tells me a bunch of young drunk people standing shoulder to shoulder is a bad idea. Keeping the rest of the business open and getting schools open is far more important than keeping certain bars open. We have very few cases around here now but most new cases or outbreaks seem to have the same thing in common, young people at bars or house parties spreading it to a bunch of people later on. You don’t hear about any spread at, hair/nail salons, Walmart, home-depot, grocery stores, restaurants (many with bars), beaches, or any other business. Young people are the spreaders, they need to be handled differently. You could always raise the bar age to 35. I am not a conservative, I am an independent that disagrees with the left 97.9% of the time. Wear a mask inside, I promise it won’t hurt you and will probably only be on an average of 5 minutes a day.
Being "responsible for yourself" literally does almost nothing if other people aren't following the appropriate practices, such as wearing a mask and keeping their distance; cloth face masks were originally thought to provide very little protection from acquiring the virus from someone else (although some more recent research shows that they may provide a greater benefit, and reduce your own chance of contracting the virus by 50%). Now, if N-95 masks were readily available that would be a different story.
Also, although many 'healthy' people below the age of 50 may not die from the virus, there are still many legitimate concerns (e.g. long term health effects, financial effects of being in the hospital for weeks/months, future disease development in the manner of how chicken pox and shingles are related) for the not "at risk" groups.

They need to make these pussy vape things illegal. Just roll a joint or smoke a marb red and stop being such a snowflake. Vapes are ruining people’s lungs at a much faster rate than tobacco or weed ever have.
There was a young girl that had to get a double lung transplant after getting the rona. Her lungs were in such poor shape from vaping and the rona broke the camels back.
So close bars where young people stand shoulder to shoulder but allow bars where older folks (over 35?) use "common sense" and wear their masks into the bars and to the bathroom when they leave the bar area? Is that right? And this will help Trump win?
I'm retired. I go to bars. They may have 5-20 people in them. Nobody wears a mask into these bars, nobody wears a mask to the bathroom. 100% of the people who frequent these bars voted for Trump last time and will again this November. 100% of the people who own these bars (and make their living, employ others, pay taxes, support local communities, etc. etc. etc.) are also Trump voters. How does destroying their businesses and ability to make a living help get Trump elected?

We are not talking about the same bars. Getting the spread somewhat under control is what helps Trump win. You sitting at a bar with up to 20 people is nothing like what I am talking about. You are describing a restaurant with a bar. I am talking about places where they stamp your hand, charge you $10 to get in and pack as many in as can fit. There are many videos of these places going around. Where we are with this virus will have a huge effect on the election. If Trump wins, have at it, I don’t care who does what. If young people go out and pack the bars then kill their parents or grandparent that is none of my concern. It makes no sense to me for the sacrifices all the businesses have made to allow a few things to allow these flare ups. Protesting being the other obvious one. With the trillions the government is spending there should be a way to compensate these business for lost business. I won’t hold my breath on that one but it could be done.

Lol...okay dude. You are dependent on the government to decide which bars will "be allowed" and which bars "won't be allowed" to be open for business. It's really sad IMO that a person who identifies themselves as a "non Communist" can repeatedly state that it should be up to the government to decide which bars can be open. Maybe it's a northeast thing. I really can't stand folks from that area. Maybe you're all so used to government telling you what you can and can't do that you are willing to accept incremental socialism.
