Ah that's too bad it was stolen.

Mine has shrunk too in the nearly 40 years I've had it. I like my hat so much that I bought a hat stretcher and every few years I soak it in water and then stretch it before the season so it fits again.

Wore my old Jones hat this evening for a 3 pm till dark hunt. When I first got there I looked the hat over for a tag to see who made it. All I could find was a "Thinsulate" tag and I noticed inside the black liner had all brown specks of dried crumbled insulation? . I reckon it's time to toss it in the trash. I did order 2 cheaper Orange hats to try , the radar type off E bay and the baseball cap with fold down ear flaps....Both made in China.The Radar cap came today , first observation seems a little thin compared to one I had years ago that shrunk. However I will give it a honest try and report back how I like it. The other hat actually shipped from China so might be a while before it arrives.
