Can't plant for up to 4 weeks

My trees from SLN arrived today at my home. That's great news except some things have come up and I prob won't be able to make it back up to my cabin to plant them till 4 weeks from now. I was thinking of potting them until I can make it back up to plant them. Anyone have a better suggestion? I may be able to run up to plant them in a week or two but that is not concrete.

Problem solved. I will be able to run up to my land on wed to plant the 12 trees. My truck is already loaded minus the trees and ready to go.

Up at the cabin planting. I got everything prepped and ready to go this morning. Menards cheaped me. One of my 150' rolls was only 120'. Going to start putting the trees in after a lil water break.

Got 8 of my 12 trees planted today and will finish up the last 4 tomorrow. Now I'm sipping a cold one while watching a grouse eat under the bird feeder and 6 deer out in the food plot. Thanks to everyone on this site for all your advise and tips. Much appreciated!!

Did you do anything between Saturday and Wednesday? I have trees coming early in the week and won't be able to plant them until the weekend. Should I pot them for a few days or will they be fine?

I checked to make sure that the saw dust around the roots was moist and then wrapped the roots back up and kept then in a cool dark place in my basement. Before planting I let the roots soak in a bucket of water.
