Calling on pear and peach experts.

Apples constitute 95 percent of my trees, but I do have some pears and peaches. I should have done some of my own research by now but just have not had time so I am looking for good articles or information on:

1. A spray program for peaches. As noted in another thread, I know Captan and other products can adversely impact pears. What do you recommend.

2. Pruning, training and protecting peaches. I have six peach trees. Two are first leaf, Two are in their third leaf and two are in their fourth leaf. I really really did not prune them enough early on. I need some advise on dos and don'ts. I pruned one too much a few years ago I think and it died.

North Carolina Extension Service has a very good Youtube series on pruning peaches. Captan can be used on peaches. Peaches in general are more susceptible to rots and spots, especially in warm humid climates. So they typically need sprayed more frequently. Good pruning to keep an open canopy and to keep production up is required.
